Customizing the user interface

Most pages display lists of data by using the user interface.

The rows and columns provide several tools for viewing and managing data. These tools include sorting and searching methods, and appropriate actions for items in the table, such as creating a new item or delete an existing one.

Important: If you are using a screen-reader's navigation tools to jump between landmarks or sections, initiate the tool from the navigation bar at the top of the application.

Column visibility

Some pages have a hyperlink to access the user preferences page. Columns can be hidden or rearranged and records can be sorted from the user preferences page. The user preferences page displays a list of the column headings that can be rearranged.

Column visibility is sometimes controlled by the show and hide columns page. You can use the show and hide columns page to configure which columns are displayed on the page. The show and hide columns page can be accessed through the More > Show/Hide Columns menu option.

Filtering

Rows in a table can be displayed by using filtering. The filtering text box is located in the upper right of a table. Text that is entered filters the table to show only rows that have a matching value in one of their visible columns.

Actions

Actions can be found in the upper left of the table. The actions that are located here are typically used to interact with the table data in a more general way, such as creating a new row or refreshing the rows displayed.

Actions can also be found in each row. The actions that are located here are typically used to interact with the table data in a more specific way, such as deleting an existing row.
