Messages are backing up on WebSphere MQ (the
Risk Management engine is processing slowly)
Problem:
The messages from the messaging queues for Risk Management are being processed, but
very slowly.
Symptom:
Processing of outbound work may slow down for many reasons. For example, simultaneous processing
by the Risk Management engine during high volume ingestion by the Gateway instances and Transaction Server can cause database resource contention.
Solution:
Areas to investigate include the following:
Verify that the proper number of listener threads for the identified WebSphere® MQ Listener ports are set for processing multiple messages
concurrently.
If possible, configure the outbound work by the Risk Management engine to occur
during low volume processing times by the Transaction Server.
