Notification of Change Page

The notification of change page allows the user to display and manage NOC records that have been received and sent. The page displays a list of NOC records and the status of each record. The type of NOC records displayed are controlled by the following tabs, which are located above the list of records:
ODFI
Select this tab to display:
  • the incoming NOC records
  • NOC refusal records sent in response to NOC records that failed validation
RDFI
Select this tab to display:
  • the outgoing NOC records
  • NOC refusal records received for NOC records that failed validation at the ODFI

Columns

The columns available on the notification of change page are shown in Table 1. The columns are the same for ODFI and RDFI.

Column Name Description
Selection control Most of the NOC actions require the user to select which records they should process. The first column on the page is used to select one or more NOC records from the list. Selecting the box in the table header selects all of the records in the list.
Status The status of this NOC record
Original Trace Number The trace number of the original, changed item. If this is a NOC refusal, the trace number is the original NOC record.
Originator Id Originator ID from the original transaction
Company Id Company ID from the original transaction
Payment Standard Type of the transmission. NACHA, for example.
Change Code The change code or the refused NOC reason code for this record. A description may also be displayed with the code.
Created Date and time the NOC record was created

Changed Data Information

When one of the records is selected by clicking on any column except the selection column, the changed data information is displayed below the list of NOC records. The following information is displayed for the record selected:
Change Code
The change code or the refused NOC reason code for this record. It is usually has a format of C##, where ## is a unique number that indicates the reason code.
Description
A description for the change code.
The table below these fields displays the attribute, if any, that needs to be updated for the account. Table 2 shows the information displayed for each attribute.

Changed Data The attribute that needs to be changed. Account number, for example.
Original Value The original value of the attribute
Changed Value The new value to use for this attribute

Filtering

Use the filtering rules to locate NOC and NOC refusal records that are in a specific status or are for a specific account. Specify one or more filtering rules as necessary. The columns available for filtering the notification of change page are shown in Table 3. The columns are the same for ODFI and RDFI.

ODFI Tab Actions

The available actions when the ODFI tab on the notification of change page is selected are:
  • Help link opens the help page. This link is in the upper right of the page.
  • Refresh button, which looks like a circular arrow, re-displays the list of records to show any new records and the updates made to existing records.
  • More - Preference - Save Layout menu option saves any changes made to the column layout.
  • More - Preference - Restore Defaults menu option restores the page to its default column layout.
  • More - Preference - Show/Hide Columns menu option displays a page to select which columns are shown or hidden in the column layout.
  • More - Actions - Activate menu option activates the selected NOC records.
  • More - Actions - Deactivate menu option deactivates the selected NOC records.
  • Filter button displays the build filter page to define the filtering rules. The filter button is located next to the no filter applied message or the clear filter link.
  • Clear filter link removes the filter and shows all of the records.

RDFI Tab Actions

The available actions when the RDFI tab on the notification of change page is selected are:
  • Help link opens the help page. This link is in the upper right of the page.
  • Add button, which looks like a plus sign, displays the create NOC - RDFI page to add a new record.
  • Edit button, which looks like a pencil, displays the edit NOC - RDFI page to edit the selected record.
  • Refresh button, which looks like a circular arrow, re-displays the list of records to show any new records and the updates made to existing records.
  • More - Preference - Save Layout menu option saves any changes made to the column layout.
  • More - Preference - Restore Defaults menu option restores the page to its default column layout.
  • More - Preference - Show/Hide Columns menu option displays a page to select which columns are shown or hidden in the column layout.
  • More - Actions - Cancel menu option cancels the selected NOC records.
  • More - Actions - Send menu option sends the selected NOC records to the ODFI.
