Installation

Use the following steps to install FTM:

Access the FTM installation package. The package can be accessed in the following ways:
- Download the FTM installation package from Passport Advantage® as described in the download document:
  https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/node/7111781
Ensure that you have authority to run IBM® Installation Manager.
The default FTM installation directory is
```
/opt/IBM/ftm/ftm/v3213
```
You can use a different directory, but whichever directory you plan to use, ensure that you have write access to that directory.
Choose a mode in which to install FTM:
- Interactive mode (see Installing FTM in interactive mode)
- Silent mode (see Installing FTM in silent mode)
