Credit transfer good

Scenario describing the end to end processing of an immediate payment request that is initiated by a debtor client.

The payment is sent to the debtor financial institution (FI), forwarded to the clearing and settlement mechanism (CSM), and passed to the creditor financial institution. Once the payment is accepted by the creditor FI the CSM sends a confirmation to both the debtor FI and the creditor FI, at which time the debtor FI sends a response back to the debtor client. In addition, the creditor client is notified about the payment by the creditor FI.
