Integration overview

FTM for High Value Payments can be integrated with the existing systems of a bank and with the channel interface.

FTM for High Value Payments implements a payments process that interacts with primary and secondary external service interfaces. The primary interfaces are the channel and the clearing and settlement mechanism (CSM) service interfaces. These interfaces are primary interfaces because they are the source and destination of the payment and related messages that are being processed. A secondary set of interfaces provides integration points for the existing bank services for fraud, sanction, and accounting systems to provide business level functions and decisions. For more information about the sequence of service interactions for each of the business use cases, see Functional flows.

High Value Payments supplies a set of simulators for all service interfaces except the channel. These simulators allow FTM for High Value Payments to be run before integration work is done. The following sections provide more information about the High Value Payments interfaces, particularly about the approach and the necessary steps to fully integrate with the existing systems of a bank and with the channel interface. The CSM interface is not discussed in detail because it is generally not expected to need significant integration effort by a bank. For more information about CSM connectivity, see Model configuration and Setup and customization.
