Installation and configuration

The TCH connector is installed as a ready to use component. It is provided as a IBM® App Connect Enterprise BAR file.

The /opt/IBM/ftm/ip/v3213/run/bar/FtmIpTchConnector.bar file represents one instance of the connector. An instance must be configured by using the BAR file editor or the mqsibarfileoverwrite command-line utility, which is part of IBM App Connect Enterprise.

For Active-Active configurations, you must simultaneously run two instances of this connector on each of your operation sites. These instances communicate with the RTPS primary and secondary site. For this configuration, you need to use four copies of the FtmIpTchConnector.bar file and to apply the corresponding correct setup to each of them. A working sample for this setup is provided in the /opt/IBM/ftm/ip/v3213/admin/scripts/TCH/connector/BarfileOverwrites directory.

Some low-level functions the TCH connector provides are implemented as Java™ libraries that are installed in the /opt/IBM/ftm/ip/v3213/run/classes directory. The JAR files in this directory must be accessible to all integration servers where the TCH connector is deployed. You can use the following ways to make the JAR files accessible.
  • Add the FTM IP classes folder to your class path variable.
  • Place the Immediate Payments JAR files in the IBM App Connect Enterprise shared-classes directory of the integration node or integration server that hosts the TCH connector.
