Installing the application and configuring the MONITOR database in one step

Install the application and configure the MONITOR database at the same time by using the Integrated Solutions Console to deploy the FTM Monitor EAR file. Follow these steps:
  1. Log in to the Integrated Solutions Console as an Administrator with authority to deploy applications.
  2. Click Applications > Application Types > WebSphere enterprise applications in the left pane of the console.
  3. Click Install in the main pane of the console.
  4. Use the Local File System selection. Browse to path <temp-dir-where-you-extracted-FXH_Dashboard>/FXH/monitor/application and select the file FTM_BAMEAR_ModelApplication.ear.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Leave the Fast Path radio button selected and click Next.
  7. Take all of the default options. This will deploy the EAR file, automatically create the necessary database artifacts in the MONITOR database, and load the COGNOSCS with application-specific metadata.
  8. Select Step 4: Summary in the main pane of the console.
  9. Click Finish.
  10. Click Save.
    Note: The application labeled FTM_BAMEAR_ModelApplication appears to be not started, but if you refresh the page after a short time, you will see that it starts.
  11. Go to the section Finishing the FTM Monitor installation and complete the step for configuring Business Monitor security. The other steps in the section are already completed when you perform one step installation.
Note: When the application is installed in "Fast Path" mode as described above, you can check the Run script to delete the schema during uninstallation option in Applications > Monitor Models > Version > Manage schema after the application is installed so that the MONITOR artifacts with the application schema name will be deleted automatically when the application is uninstalled. If the option is not checked, you have to delete the schema manually before uninstalling the application.
