backupHDD command
Use the backupHDD create a backup of the management software on the management node hard disk drive.
Important:
- If you use this command to create a backup, you cannot copy that backup file to another location. If you want to copy a backup to another location or disk after it is created, make sure that you use the backup command to create the backup on a USB device or an SFTP server instead of the management node hard disk drive.
- Check the available space on the management node hard disk drive before you perform a backup to the HDD. Do not store more than 10 backups on the management node hard disk drive. If the drive is full, you can use the deleteBackup command to delete backup images that you no longer need.

Description
The backupHDD command creates a backup
of the management software and stores it on the management node hard
disk drive.
The backupHDD command backs up a
snapshot of the IBM Flex System Manager® management partition, which includes:
- Management software image
- User registry for authentication
- FSM configuration settings
- Discovered endpoints and inventory
- Configuration Patterns data (if applicable)
