mkfcpartnership

Use the mkfcpartnership command to define partnerships using Fibre Channel (FC).

Syntax

Read syntax diagramSkip visual syntax diagram mkfcpartnership -linkbandwidthmbits link_bandwidth_in_mbps -backgroundcopyratepercentage remote_system_idremote_system_name

Parameters

-linkbandwidthmbits link_bandwidth_in_mbps
(Required) Specifies the aggregate bandwidth of the replication link between the systems in megabits per second (Mbps). It is a numeric value from 1 to 100000. Asynchronous replication will aim not to exceed this value when replicating to the partnered systems. If multiple I/O groups exist in the partnered system then the system will expect to have this amount of bandwidth to each I/O group in the remote system. High availability will consume as much bandwidth as needed to maintain two copies of the storage partitions and is not limited by this value.
-backgroundcopyrate percentage

(Optional) Deprecated. This setting is not used by the system.

remote_system_id | remote_system_name
(Required) Specifies the remote system ID or name of a partnership. The specified value must match one of the system IDs or names returned after issuing lspartnershipcandidate.

Description

This command creates a partnership between the local system and the remote system using Fibre Channel. A partnership is required to enable replication, high availability or migration between the systems.

Note: This command is available during the upgrade process.
