Resolving a problem with failure to boot
An IBM® Service Support Representative (SSR) can use this procedure to do a minimum configuration on a node canister if it fails to boot when powered on.
Before you begin
A node canister has failed to boot the Storage Virtualize software, if the
node status LED is still off after 1 hour. This might be caused by a bad memory module (DIMM), or
bad optional adapter, or a bad node canister.
Note: The service interfaces to the node canister does
not work if the Storage Virtualize
software is not running.
