User response
Run the fix procedure for this error in the management GUI to resolve any issues on the remote system. The fix procedure displays the error message and also shows the information about the command that failed on the remote system. The underlying issue that caused this failure must be resolved before replication can resume. The following is a list of the error messages that can be
associated with this remote failure, and the remedial action associated with each. Errors during
certificate actions:
- CMMVC1656E - The command failed because certificate signing request for partition certificate was not created on the remote site.
-
- Perform the manual fix as prompted in the event log.
- If the event reoccurs, apply the following service actions:
- For system signed or externally signed certificate installed, remove the certificate using rmpartitioncertstore command.
- For certificate signing request in installed_pending, cancel the certificate signing request using chpartitioncertstore command. If the cancel command failed on the remote (non-AMS) system, then manually run the chsystemcertstore cancel command on the remote system.
