User response
Complete the following steps to resolve this problem.
- Access the CLI by using ssh.
- Check that the system time and date is correct. If it is incorrect, it can cause the certificate to be incorrectly marked as expired.
- If you are using a self signed certificate then generate a new certificate that is signed by the system certificate authority. The system certificate authority root certificate should be exported and added to external trust stores before generating the new certificate.
- If you are using a certificate that is signed by the system certificate authority, generate a new certificate that is signed by the system certificate authority. The automatic renewal function can be enabled to automatically generate a new certificate.
- If you are using a certificate signed by a third party certificate authority, generate a new
certificate request and get this signed by your certificate authority. The existing certificate can
continue to used until the expiry date to provide time to get the new request signed and installed.
Note: If it will take some time to get a certificate signed you can also create a certificate signed
by the system certificate authority to use while waiting for your request to be signed.Note: It can take time for the external CA to return the signed certificate. You can use an internally signed certificate while you wait for the returned certificate.
