For certain Linux® kernels, the maximum file system size is less than the LUN maximum size supported by the system.

For 2.4 Linux kernels, the maximum file system size is 512 bytes less than 1 terabyte (TB). For these kernels, your volumes are limited to 1,099,511,627,264 bytes of capacity.
