Boot drive problems

User response

Complete the following steps:
  1. Log in to the service command-line of the node.
  2. Run the command sainfo lsbootdrive to display the status for each boot drive slot.
  3. If the boot drive slot status is “missing” then replace the boot drive (if it is replaceable). If the boot drive is not replaceable, replace the node canister.
  4. If the boot drive slot status is “sync” run the satask chbootdrive -syn command.
  5. If no usable persistent data exists on the boot drives, then contact IBM Remote Technical Support.

Possible Cause-FRUs or other:

  • Boot drive (if it is replaceable)
  • Node canister (if the boot drive is not replaceable)
