CMMVC9664E The FlashCopy® consistency group could not be prepared or started because one or more of the mappings in the group have a virtual capacity size mismatch.

Explanation

A FlashCopy consistency group is a container for FlashCopy mappings to manage related copies and ensure consistency. The FlashCopy mappings in the group have different volume sizes.
Note: If an attempt to expand the size of a volume fails while it is replicated, then that volume can have an internal capacity greater than the provisioned capacity. In this scenario, the internal capacity is used to determine the error condition. See the lsvdisk command to verify internal_capacity and capacity fields.

User response

Using lsfcmap to find the FlashCopy mappings in the consistency group that have a size mismatch. Expand either the source or the target volume capacity of the mapping, and resubmit the command.
