rmip
Use rmip command to delete an IP address specified by the IP address ID.
Syntax
Parameters
- ip_address_id
- (Required) Specifies the row ID (lsip) of the IP address to be deleted.
CAUTION:
- User is not allowed to delete the last IP address in a portset if there are any hosts associated with the portset. Delete hosts or assign to different portsets first and then delete IP addresses.
- Cannot remove an IP address if it is a part of the storage portset or replication portset and is in use.
- The rmip command can be used to remove system IP address, except the last system IP address.
Note:
- The rmip command for partition IP will fail when portset is mapped to a partition.
- The rmip command will fail for an IP address in the SystemManagement portset if another IP address is assigned to any portset of type management, other than the default SystemManagement portset.
- Quorum IP address can be removed using rmip. For more information, see Quorum IP addresses.
Note: This command is available during the upgrade
process.
