Procedure: Rescuing the software from another node canister (node rescue)

Use this procedure to rescue a node.

About this task

A failure indicates that the node software is damaged and must be reinstalled.

Procedure

  1. Ensure that the node you want to reinstall the software on is the current node.
  2. Select Re-install Software.
  3. Select Rescue from another node.

What to do next

Note: If this node communicates to the other nodes in the system by using iSER ports, the IP address of the 25-Gbps Ethernet ports that are used for iSER clustering is set automatically. If this does not occur, use the Service Assistant Tool or the satask chnodeip command to set the IP address of the ports.
