Recovering from a disaster at a non-primary near site with a star configuration

To recover from a disaster at a non-primary near site with a star configuration, use a CLI command to verify the condition and use the T2 recovery procedure.

  1. Enter the ls3sitercconsistgrp command to verify the state of the consistency groups. In the resulting output, the state of the consistency group is 2-site periodic.
    [root@ORCH-HOST cli]# ls3sitercconsistgrp
    name state primary periodic_copy_source sync_copy_state periodic_copy_state freeze_time cycle_period status
    CG0 2site_periodic Master AuXNear consistent_disconnected stopped 0 350 partner_offline
  2. Complete the recover system procedure to recover the site.
  3. Enter the enablecli command to enable IBM Spectrum Virtualize 3-Site Orchestrator to access the storage system.
  4. To finish the recovery process, you might need run a command to include the site in data cycling.
    • If the sync_copy_state is consistent_synchronized, the site is automatically included in data cycling.
    • If sync_copy_state is consistent_stopped, enter the ch3sitercconsist -join command to include the site in data cycling.
Enter the ls3sitercconsistgrp command to verify the recovery.
      [root@ORCH-HOST cli]# ls3sitercconsistgrp
      name state primary periodic_copy_source sync_copy_state periodic_copy_state freeze_time cycle_period status
