Tier composition statistics

The Tier Composition chart displays the distributed workload between the top tier, middle tier, and bottom tier for the selected pool.

To view Easy Tier® data and reports in the management GUI, select one of the following paths:
  • From the management GUI, select Monitoring > Easy Tier Reports
  • From the management GUI, select Pools > View Easy Tier Reports

Select the Tier Composition tab to display an interactive chart of the tiers that are within the selected pool.

The following list describes the type of data that is displayed in the chart:

Tier types
Displays the type of tiers that are in each category.
MDisk Mapping
Displays a table for the selected pool that describes which MDisks are mapped to which tier.
Extent Capacity
X-axis of the chart
Key
Displays the breakdown of the potential type of workload that might be in each tier category: The following values are available:
Active
Data with more than 0.1 IOPS / Extent access density for small IOPS
Inactive
Data with zero IOPS / Extent access density (no recent activity)
Active large
Data that is not classified
Low activity
Data with more than zero IOPS / Extent access density
Composition details
Displays more detailed information about the workload that is listed in the chart key.
