CMMVC6974E The command cannot be initiated because there are too many bad blocks on the MDisk.

Explanation

This error can occur when a managed disk has close to the maximum number of bad blocks, and might reach the maximum number of bad blocks during an expansion process. If the maximum number of bad blocks is reached, the expansion is suspended.

User response

Use the dumpmdiskbadblocks and the lsvdisklba commands to find bad blocks and rewrite the areas where bad blocks are found. Then, retry the command.
