2115 Performance of external MDisk has changed
Explanation
The system identified a change in the performance category of an external managed disk. This error can occur when a storage device in the external system is replaced with a device that has different performance characteristics to the original. The ID of the managed disk is logged in the event (Bytes 5-8 of the sense data). It might be necessary to reconfigure the tier of the managed disk so that Easy Tier makes best use of the storage.
User response
Run the fix procedure for this event, assisting you with the following tasks:- Run the Detect MDisks task so that the system determines the current performance category of each managed disk. When the detection task is complete, if performance reverts, the event is automatically marked as fixed.
- If the event is not automatically fixed, you can change the tier of the managed disk to the suggested tier that is shown in the properties of the event. The suggested tier is logged in the event (Bytes 9-13 of the sense data. A value of 10 hex indicates flash tier; a value of 20 hex indicates enterprise tier).
- If you choose not to change the tier configuration, mark the event as fixed.
