Removing the configuration from a RDMA-capable Ethernet port

You can delete RDMA-based ports by using the service assistant GUI or the command-line interface.

If your system uses RDMA-capable Ethernet ports, you can delete ports as part of removing a node from the system.

Using the service assistant GUI

To delete settings on the RDMA-capable Ethernet port on a node, complete these steps:
  1. In a supported browser, enter the service IP address for one of the nodes in the system.
  2. In the service assistant GUI, select one of the nodes and select Change Node IP.
  3. On the Change Node IP panel, select the port to change and click Unconfigure.
  4. Click Save.

Using the command-line interface

To remove a RDMA-capable Ethernet port on a node, enter the following command:
satask chnodeip -noip -port_id -panel_name
where -noip removes the IP address and all other settings for the specified port identifier (-port_id) on the specified node (-panel_name).
