Installing or replacing the display panel assembly

You can replace the display panel assembly in a 5U expansion enclosure.

About this task

This task assumes that the following conditions were met:

The expansion enclosure was moved out from the rack on the slide rails, as described in Removing a 5U expansion enclosure from a rack
The top cover was removed, as described in Removing the top cover.
The display panel assembly was removed, as described in Removing the display panel assembly.

Remove the display panel assembly, which is shown in Figure 1, from its packaging.

Carefully align the display panel assembly in the slot at the front of the expansion enclosure, as shown in Figure 2.

Ensure the display panel assembly, which is shown in Figure 1, faces toward the outside of the chassis.

Insert the display panel assembly until it clicks into position.
Replace the top cover, as described in Installing or replacing the top cover.
Ensure the LEDs on the display panel are lit correctly. See 5U expansion enclosure LEDs and indicators for details.
