Multipathing support for hosts that run the Windows Server operating system

Hosts that run the Microsoft Windows Server operating system require multipathing software.

IBM System Storage Interoperation Center (SSIC)

SAN Volume Controller, Storwize, and FlashSystem storage devices running microcode levels V7.6.1.5 and later require the Microsoft Device Specific Module (MSDSM). Microsoft Device Specific Module (MSDSM), is the mandatory multipathing driver. It is included in the Windows Server operating system.

The Microsoft Multipath I/O (MPIO) feature must also be enabled when using MSDSM .
