snap

Use the snap command to create a snap file on the node or enclosure that you specify or upload support information.

Syntax

Parameters

-clean
(Optional) Erases all snap files on the configuration node.
-stats
(Optional) Gathers performance statistics files from all system nodes. Specify -stats or -s.
-ups
(Optional) Gathers the UPS logs from all system nodes. Specify -ups or -u.
-config
(Optional) Generates a new backup for the configuration node. Specify -config or -c.
-dump
(Optional) Gathers the latest dump and livedump information from the configuration node. Specify -dump or -d.
-dumpall
(Optional) Gathers the latest dump and livedump information from every system node. Specify -dumpall or -a.
-noimm
(Optional) Suppresses the collection of the Integrated Management Module (IMM) dump. Specify -noimm or -n.

Description

This command creates a new snap file to collect diagnostic information from the node.

If this command is run from the command line, the snap file will be created in the /dumps directory on the specified node. Alternatively, if this command is run from a USB drive, the snap file will be created on the USB drive.
