chportset

Use the chportset command to modify the attributes of a portset.

Syntax

Parameters

-name new portset name
(Optional) Specifies a name or label for the new portset. The value can be an ASCII string in the range 0 - 64 characters.
-ownershipgroup owner_id | owner_name
(Optional) Specifies the owner id or own name to assign to portset object. The value can be an ASCII string or decimal in the range 0 - 64 characters.
-noownershipgroup portset name | portset id
(Optional) Remove the portset from the ownership group. It is mutually exclusive with ownershipgroup.
Note: Restricted users are permitted to view and use globally owned portsets, but are not permitted to make any modifications. Restricted users are permitted to modify portsets that are assigned to their ownership group. Portsets of type storage and replication are always globally owned and an attempt to change its ownership will fail.

An invocation example

chportset -name test <portset name|portset id>
