Explanation

A change was detected to the hardware configuration for this node or node canister. The new configuration is not supported by the node software or node canister software. User action is needed to repair the hardware or update the software. For Storwize® V5000, Storwize V5000E, or FlashSystem 5000, user action might be needed to update the machine code.

User response

  1. If possible, use the management GUI to run the suggested actions for the associated service error code.
  2. Follow the procedure for getting node or node canister and clustered-system information. A change to the hardware configuration is expected.
  3. If the hardware configuration is unexpectedly reduced, make sure that the component was not unseated. Hardware replacement might be necessary.
  4. If a new hardware component is shown as unsupported, check the software version or machine code version that is required to support the hardware component. Update the software or machine code to a version that supports the hardware.
If the hardware detected does not match the expected configuration, replace the hardware component that is reported incorrectly. On IBM Storage Virtualize for Public Cloud and IBM Storage Virtualize, contact your hardware manufacturer.
