4050 Replication stopped due to a medium error during synchronization
Explanation
During the synchronization process, the system detects medium errors and stops replication to prevent bad blocks from being replicated to the recovery system.
User response
To fix medium errors on the volumes in a volume group, overwrite the associated blocks on the volumes. After the medium errors are repaired, mark this event as fixed to restart replication.
If the volume group is configured for high availability and HA is currently established, you can perform a failover to the HA partner.
If the volume group is configured for the disaster recovery and an acceptable recovery point exists on the recovery copy of the volume group, you can enable access to the recovery copy and then restart replication in the opposite direction. The error is automatically marked as fixed when an independent access is enabled.
