Exporting Easy Tier report data by using the management GUI
You can export the Data Movement, Tier Composition, and Workload Skew Comparison data to your local system as a comma-separated value (CSV) file for viewing in other applications such as a spreadsheet.
To export the Easy Tier® data by using the management GUI, complete these steps:
- Access the Easy Tier
statistics and charts by using one of two pathways:
- From the management GUI, select
- From the management GUI, select Note: The first time that you open the page, the Data Movement chart is displayed. After you modify this chart, or view a different chart, your last action is retained until a new set of data is acquired through the STAT tool. (The STAT tool processes the Easy Tier data and generates CSV files).
- Select the pool that contains the data that you want to export.
- Click Export on the top of the GUI pane.
- In the Export Easy Tier Reports for Pool page, select the type of data that you want to export for that pool. All data from the last 24 hours is exported. You can choose from the Data Movement, Tier Composition, and Workload Skew Comparison charts. You can select one, two or all three types of data.
- Specify a destination that you want to save the file, and click
Save.Note: A compressed file with the default name of easytierstats_date_timestamp.zip is downloaded. You can modify the file name to suit your needs.
- Locate the saved file, and extract the data to view in a spreadsheet or text editor. The default file names are data movement.csv, skewcurve.csv, and workload.csv.
