chsnapshot

Use the chsnapshot command to change the name or the ownership group of an existing snapshot.

Syntax

Parameters

-name new_name
(Optional) Specifies the new name of the snapshot.
-snapshot name
(Optional) Specifies the name of the changed snapshot.
-ownershipgroup name_or_id
(Optional) Specifies the name or ID of the new ownership group.
-volumegroup volumegroup_id_or_name
(Optional) Specifies the name or ID of the volume group with the snapshot to be modified.
-parentuid id
(Optional) Specifies the UID identifying the parent volumes of the snapshot to be changed.
-snapshotid snapshot_id
(Optional) Specifies the ID of the snapshot to be changed.

An invocation example

chsnapshot -name midday -snapshot noon -volumegroup volumegroup12
