Removing obsolete add-on extensions artifacts

Some of the artifacts that are created in an object store by installation of the removed IBM Publishing and IBM DITA Publishing extensions are not removed automatically by the upgrade. You can choose to clean up some or all the artifacts manually.

Remove obsolete class definitions

About this task

Any of the following classes that are present in your object store can be deleted:
  • PublishTemplate
  • PublishStyleTemplate
  • DitaMap
  • DitaBookMap
  • DitaBase
  • DitaTask
  • DitaGlossEntry
  • DitaConcept
  • DitaReference
  • DitaTopic
  • DitaVal
  • DitaBasref
  • DitaImageref
  • DitaConref
  • DitaTopicref
  • DitaXref
  • DitaLinkref
  • DitaMapref

Procedure

  1. In the Administration Console for Content Platform Engine, go to the appropriate sub-tree of the Data Design\Classes\Other Classes node.
  2. Select the class, choose Actions, and click Delete.
    If you cannot delete the class, it is probably because instances of the class exist. In that case, you must delete the class instances.
    1. Search for class instances.
    2. Enable bulk operations for the search operation and delete all instances.
    After you delete the instances, you can delete the class.

Delete obsolete property templates

About this task

After you delete and edit class definitions, you can remove the following property templates:
  • StyleTemplate
  • InputFormats
  • OutputFormat
  • ProviderID
  • TransformationOptions
  • PDFMasterPassword
  • PDFUserPassword
  • DitaKeywords
  • DitaAuthors
  • DitaAudiences
  • DitaProdNames
  • DitaBrands
  • DitaPlatforms
  • DitaId
  • DitaNavTitle
  • DitaTitle
  • DitaSearchTitle
  • DitaPublishers
  • DitaElementId

Procedure

  1. Click the Data Design\Property Templates node.
  2. In the right pane, select the obsolete templates.
  3. Click Batch Operations, select Delete, and click OK.
    Some templates might have similar names. Delete only the obsolete templates.
