System Usage Reporter

IBM® Dashboard related IBM License Management Tools are installed with IBM System Dashboard for Enterprise Content Management and consist of three components: the listener, the ILMT collector, and the ILMT reporter.

Listener

Each supported FileNet P8 component reports usage events to the listener in real time. The listener summarizes the data over the course of the day, storing as much as seven days' worth of data in memory.

IBM License Metric Tool collector

The usage collector runs on an automated schedule, typically once per day. It connects to each listener through TCP/IP and downloads any new usage data. The usage collector stores the data permanently in a local database.

IBM License Metric Tool reporter

An administrator can run the system usage reporter at any point to generate reports. The system usage reporter connects to the local database and displays the information. The information can be exported in various formats (CSV, HTML, or XML) for additional report analysis by other tools such as Excel.
