Installing and Configuring IBM Content Services GraphQL API

The IBM Content Services GraphQL(CSGQL) API provides a schema and an easy-to-understand query language system that simplifies application development for your Content Platform Engine. You can install the GraphQL API in a container environment or with a traditional WebSphere Application Server deployment.

If you are using FileNet Content Manager in a container environment, you can deploy the GraphQL API container to use with your deployment. For instructions, see Preparing the environment for container deployments.

If you are using FileNet Content Manager application container as part of the IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation, you can also deploy GraphQL API container as part of your environment. For details, see Preparing volumes and folders for the Content Services GraphQL API container.

(V5.5.7 only) You can also install the GraphQL API to work with traditional WebSphere Application Server deployments. For more information, see Deploy Content Services GraphQL API into a traditional WebSphere Application Server environment.

(V5.5.8 and later) You can automate the configuration and deployment of GraphQL API for traditional WebSphere Application Server deployments using the IBM Content Services GraphQL Configuration and Deployment tool.
