The following sections identify differences in user experience
between IBM® forms and the IBM FileNet® P8 system.
They also detail how to develop FileNet
applications for use with IBM forms.

Administering IBM Forms with the FileNet P8
system is similar to administering FileNeteForms.
Application developer experience
Several changes have been made to the FileNet P8
system to accommodate IBM Forms. These include changes to
the form template and layout properties in the workflow process.
User experience
When IBM Forms and FileNet P8 systems
are integrated, the user experiences no change in functionality, but might
notice some differences in how pages are displayed and navigated.
Form designer experience
Designing forms for use in FileNet P8 requires
that you include navigation buttons within the form, mark form items
as "Public", and save the form template in a specific format.
Viewing forms
You can view IBM Forms in FileNet using
either IBM Forms Server – Webform Server or
the IBM FormsViewer.
You may also preview the form using the Test Form Template function
in FileNet.
