Use the Style Configuration administration page to configure how
business objects are displayed, such as the icon to use, the font size, color, and style, the order
of properties, and which pages display the properties. You can also configure how the business
objects are displayed in Map view, Network Graph view, and in the timeline.
About this task
The styles are applied to a specific fraud context. You can define different settings for each
fraud context as needed.
Note: Changes that you make in the Style Configuration page
override any custom settings that you make with a custom CSS style sheet.
Procedure
To configure styles for business objects:
- Log in to the IBM FCI for Insurance application as an
administrator.
- Click .
- Select a fraud context from the drop-down list.
- Select Business Objects from the Component list.
- Select the business object type: Account, Event,
Group, Individual,
Organization, Physical Object,
Transaction, or your own custom business object type.
- In the Style tab, select the styling options.
- In the Icon section, select an icon to display for the object, or click
Upload Icon to upload another icon. You can use one of the default icons or upload an image file. The file must be JPG, JPEG, PNG,
or GIF format and must be at least 24 pixels by 24 pixels.
- In the Map Icon section, select an icon to display for the object in Map
view or click Upload Icon to upload another icon.. You can use one of the default icons or upload an image file. The file must be JPG, JPEG, PNG,
or GIF format and must be at least 64 pixels by 64 pixels.
- In the Properties section, set the styling for the properties. You can define font styling for the business object label and for the value. If you do not
select specific properties, the styles are applied to all properties. If you select specific
properties, and you can set the style options for those properties.
- Click Save to save your changes.
- In the Properties tab, select the display options.
- Order
- Click a property row and drag the property to change the display order.
Tip: If you
need to drag an item a long distance, such as from the beginning to the end of the list, you can move
the mouse over to the scroll bar for the section and click the scroll controls.
- Time Stamp Format
- You can set the format for time stamp properties, such as YYYY-MM-DD
h:mm:ss. The formats are controlled by moments.js. For more
information on the supported formats, see Moment.js

- Prominence
- Select a prominence value. Values are integer numbers, both negative and positive. Values that
are 0 or less are not displayed in the user interface. Values of
1 or higher are displayed. Business object properties with a prominence value
of 1 are displayed in the cards. Properties with a prominence of
1 or higher are displayed in the Details page (grouped by prominence).
- In the Display tab, select the display options for the Map, Timeline,
and Network Graph views.
- Details
- Select the property to display as the title of the Details flyout. The available properties
depend on the business object type.
- Map
- For the Location field, select the property that contains the location
data for the object. The default property is Location.Location Point.
- Timeline
- Set the properties for displaying business objects in the timeline for both Map view and Network
Graph view.
- Unique ID
- Select the property that uniquely identifies each business object that is displayed in the
timeline.
- Label
- Select the property that contains the label for each business object that is displayed in the
timeline.
- Alternate Label
- Select the property that contains an alternative label for each business object that is
displayed in the timeline.
- Start Time
- Select the property that contains the start time for each business object that is displayed in
the timeline.
- End Time
- Select the property that contains the end time for each business object that is displayed in the
timeline.
- Network Graph
- Set the properties for displaying business objects in the graph.
- Unique ID
- Select the property that uniquely identifies each business object that is displayed in the
Network Graph view.
- Label
- Select the property that contains the label for each business object that is displayed in the
Network Graph view.
- Click Save to save your changes.
Note: It is good practice to save your changes before transitioning to another page; for example,
save changes when switching between Investigations and Business
Objects in the Components list.
- Click OK in the confirmation prompt.
- Repeat as needed for other business object types and for other fraud contexts.
