User roles
User roles define permissions that grant access to specific features and functions based on user responsibilities. IBM® Guardium® Exposure Manager provides two default roles, Guardium Exposure Manager administrator and Guardium Exposure Manager user.
- Guardium Exposure Manager administrator
- A user with the Guardium Exposure Manager administrator role can manage connections, trusted destinations, users, reports, pages, and all settings.
- Guardium Exposure Manager user
- A user with the Guardium Exposure Manager user role can view connections, data pipeline, and reports. A Guardium Exposure Manager user can see and manage issues, and manage data stores.
Complete the following steps to view the access rights of the two default roles in the Manage role page:
- From the main menu, click .
- On the Role management page, click the three vertical dots for the role, and then click View.

- Name and description

- Pages
- Reports
- Dashboards
- Workflows
