Create an Azure app registration to obtain the client ID and directory ID values that are required for onboarding Microsoft™ 365 Purview with IBM® Guardium® Exposure Manager.
About this task
You must register an application in the Azure portal to establish a client credentials flow between your organization and the onboarding service. After registration, you copy the application (client) ID and directory (tenant) ID for use on the onboarding screen.
Procedure

Go to the Microsoft Azure portal.

Navigate to Azure Active Directory.

From the menu, select App registrations.

Click New registration.

In the registration form, enter the following details:

In the Name field, enter a descriptive name for the application, for example, GEM-Purview-integration.

In the Supported account types section, select Accounts in this organizational directory only (Single tenant).

Do not enter anything in the Redirect URI field because a redirect URI is not required for the client credentials flow.

Click Register to create the application.
The application overview page opens.

On the application overview page, copy and save the following values:
- Application (client) ID: The client ID for the application.
- Directory (tenant) ID: The directory ID for your organization.
