Configuring an outbound API integration
You can integrate IBM® Guardium® Exposure Manager with an outbound API server to collect and enable communications between IBM Guardium Exposure Manager and other software systems through APIs.
Procedure
- From the main menu, click .
- On the Integrations page, click the Discover tab, and then click the Outbound application programming interface (API) card.
- In the Select data step of the Create outbound API integration wizard, select the report that you want to generate and send to the external system, select the report columns that you want to include, and then click Next.

In the Configure connection step of the Create outbound API integration wizard, enter the following outbound API configuration details to ensure that IBM Guardium Exposure Manager can connect to the outbound API server, and then click Send data.
- For HTTP method, select POST, PUT, or PATCH to configure the connection by selecting the HTTP method you want to use.
- Enter a Unique name for the connection.
- Enter the Server URL for the connection.
- Enter the Public SSL Certificate for the connection.
- Select the Authentication type as Basic, Authentication Header, or None.
- Map the report columns to JSON objects. You can use mapping to change the names of the report columns.
- Using JSON preview, review the contents of the report and the format in which the report is sent to the generic API endpoint.
- In the Create step of the Create outbound API integration wizard, follow the on-screen instructions to create a workflow, and then click Finish .
