Configuring Microsoft Teams integration

You can integrate IBM® Guardium® Exposure Manager with a Microsoft Teams server to send outgoing messages to a specified Microsoft Teams channel.

Procedure

  1. From the main menu, click Management hub > Integrations.
  2. On the Integrations page, click the Discover tab, and then click the Microsoft Teams card.
  3. In the About step of the Connect to Microsoft Teams wizard, read the information, and then click Next.
  4. In the Configure step of the Connect to Microsoft Teams wizard, enter the following Microsoft Teams configuration details, and then click Test connection to ensure that IBM Guardium Exposure Manager can connect to the Microsoft Teams server and can send messages.
    1. Enter a unique name for the integration in the Name field.
    2. Enter the Webhook URL.
Tip: The About information includes instructions for receiving the Webhook URL. The Microsoft Teams channel that will receive notifications is defined when creating the Webhook URL. Click Back if you need to access these instructions.
    3. Enter the Public SSL certificate details.
  5. After completing the configuration settings in the Configure step of the Connect to Microsoft Teams wizard, click Finish to save and create the integration.

When the new Microsoft Teams integration opens, you can see templates that have been generated by IBM Guardium Exposure Manager. There are templates for a variety of notification types (for example, policy alert notifications and risk notifications). The templates map IBM Guardium Exposure Manager to determine how your Microsoft Teams notifications are displayed, and they include other modifiable fields.

    1. To enable or disable any of the notification templates, click the slider next to the template.
    2. If a template is enabled, you can modify it by clicking Edit next to the template.
    3. To create a template for the notification from scratch, click Create a template.
