Configuring the context-sensitive help for screen readers

For a screen reader to read the context-sensitive help properly, you must set your help preferences in a particular configuration.

  1. Click Window > Preferences.
  2. In the Preferences window, click Help.
  3. For Open window context help, select In dynamic help view.
  4. For Open dialog context help, select In a dialog tray.
  5. Click OK.
In a view or window of your product, press F1. If there is context-sensitive help for the view or window that is in focus, the Dynamic help view opens and your screen reader reads the text and the related links.
