Upgrading RQA to 3.1.3 or later

The OpenShift® administrator can complete the RQA operator upgrade process to upgrade the RQA instance to version 3.1.3 or a later version.

1. Log in to the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) by using the Red Hat OpenShift administrator credentials.
2. From the side navigation, select Administration > Cluster settings.
3. On the Installed Operators page, on the Global configuration tab, update the RQA catalog source image:
   1. From the list of resources, select OperatorHub.
   2. On the Cluster page, on the Sources tab, click the ellipsis menu icon for rqa-manifests and select Edit CatalogSource.
   3. Update the Image (URL of container image) field with icr.io/cpopen/ibm-rqa-operator-catalog:latest.
4. Update the Redis catalog source:
   1. From the list of resources, select OperatorHub.
   2. On the Cluster page, on the Sources tab, click the ellipsis menu icon for ibm-cloud-databases-redis-operator-catalog and select Edit CatalogSource.
   3. Update the Image (URL of container image) field with icr.io/cpopen/ibm-cloud-databases-redis-catalog@sha256:9d4eec7ba489efefa6e8be937a79173a4c0cfad5ca5ad2f648f0eed10261a165 .

Results

The RQA operator is upgraded, and the RQA instance is also upgraded automatically.

Attention:

• When you upgrade RQA to version 3.1.3, the status of the RQA instance is Failed on the RQA tab on the Operators details page of the RQA operator. To fix the issue, see RQA 3.1.3 upgrade issue.
• If you upgrade to Red Hat OpenShift Container version 4.8.x and RQA becomes inoperable, see RQA becomes inoperable when you upgrade to OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) version 4.8.x.
