Creating catalog sources

The OpenShift® administrator must create the catalog sources that register the RQA and Redis operators. After that, the Red Hat OpenShift administrator can install them from the OperatorHub by using the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) web console.

Complete the following steps to create the RQA and Redis catalog sources:

Creating RQA catalog source

Procedure

  1. From the side navigation, select Administration > Cluster Settings.
  2. Click the Global Configuration tab, and click the OperatorHub link from the Configuration Resource column.
  3. Click the Sources tab, and click Create Catalog Source.
  4. On the Create Catalog Source page, provide the following details:
    • Enter rqa-manifests in the Catalog source name field.
    • Enter RQA Catalog Source in the Display name field.
    • Enter IBM in the Publisher name field.
    • Enter icr.io/cpopen/ibm-rqa-operator-catalog:latest in the Image (URL of container image) field.
    • Click Cluster-wide catalog source.

Creating Redis catalog source

Procedure

  1. Refer to the Creating RQA catalog source topic, and repeat steps 1 to 3.
  2. On the Create Catalog Source page, enter the following details:
    • Enter ibm-cloud-databases-redis-operator-catalog in the Catalog source name field.
    • Enter IBM Redis Catalog Source in the Display name field.
    • Enter IBM in the Publisher name field.
    • Enter icr.io/cpopen/ibm-cloud-databases-redis-catalog@sha256:9d4eec7ba489efefa6e8be937a79173a4c0cfad5ca5ad2f648f0eed10261a165 in the Image (URL of container image) field.
    • Click Cluster-wide catalog source.
