IBM Envizi Supply Chain Intelligence known issues and limitations
Be aware of known issues and limitations in IBM® Envizi Supply Chain Intelligence.
- IBM Envizi Supply Chain Intelligence calculates the product carbon footprint (PCF) only once a month and does not update if changes occur
-
IBM Envizi Supply Chain Intelligence calculates the PCF once a month by default, which means that changes to emission factors or product values are not reflected in emissions data until the PCF is refreshed. The PCF calculation retention period can be configured. If immediate changes are needed, contact IBM Support.
- Maximum size of a file
-
For optimal performance, IBM Envizi Supply Chain Intelligence can ingest files that are up to 100 MB. For larger files, split them into manageable sizes.
- New files that have the same name as existing files are not processed
-
The IBM Envizi Supply Chain Intelligence doesn't process files that are uploaded to IBM Cloud® Object Storage if they have the same names as an existing file. Use unique file names for Envizi Supply Chain Intelligence to successfully process them.

- Patch operations are not supported in IBM API Hub
-
The body section is not available for use in patch operations when the IBM Supply Chain Intelligence Suite REST API in IBM API Hub is used. This issue is a limitation of IBM API Hub. To work around this issue, use your own REST client when you're calling REST APIs. For example, Insomnia.
- Changes to display names are not reflected in Envizi Supply Chain Intelligence
-
Changes to IBMid display names are not reflected in Envizi Supply Chain Intelligence. Names are fetched only once from IBMid to Envizi Supply Chain Intelligence, which is when the user is invited to the tenant.
To work around this issue, revoke the user from the tenant and reinvite them so that their name is fetched again from IBMid. Or, contact IBM Support and request that they enforce synchronization to update the display name.
- Inviting users with invalid characters in their email address is not supported
-
Due to the way that email addresses are validated, inviting users with quotation marks (") or plus signs (+) in their email address, such as "user"@ibm.com or user+1@ibm.com, is not supported.
- New users cannot immediately log in
-
Account administrators can invite colleagues and trading partners to IBM Supply Chain Intelligence Suite. A welcome email then directs the invitee to IBM Marketplace to sign up for a trial. After a brief onboarding processing period, the new user can log in to IBM Supply Chain Intelligence Suite. If the new user tries to log in too quickly after they accept the invite, they might receive an error to try again. This issue can be resolved by waiting longer until the onboarding process is completed.
