Engaging suppliers through work queues and resolutions

After you mark your selected products as material, the products appear in the Prioritized products table. You need to engage your suppliers by sending a request to collect the product-level emissions data that you are seeking.

To initiate the process of engaging your suppliers, you can start in one of the following places:

Engage suppliers on the Engagement tab

  1. From the side navigation menu, click Supplier engagement.
  2. Click the Engagement tab.
  3. In the Engage with suppliers to collect product carbon footprint (PCF) data section, click the Engage with suppliers link.
    The Prioritized suppliers pending engagement for PCF data page appears. This work queue contains a list of suppliers that were marked as material but are not engaged yet.
    Note: This list of suppliers corresponds with the number of suppliers pending engagement on the Supplier Engagement dashboard.
  4. In the Carbon request & response work queues section, click the Prioritized suppliers pending engagement for PCF data work queue.
  5. To select a supplier, click the organization ID.

    The supplier resolutions page is displayed. You can see the available options to engage this supplier to request information.

  6. Select an appropriate method and collect the product-level emissions data.

Engage suppliers in the Prioritized products table on the supplier details page

  1. From the side navigation menu, click Supplier engagement.
  2. On the Materiality tab, in the Top 10 suppliers by amount spent section, click a supplier name.

    A supplier details page appears.

  3. In the Prioritized products table, in the Action required column, click the Send request link.

    The supplier resolutions page is displayed. You can see the available options to engage this supplier to request information.

  4. Select an appropriate method and collect the product-level emissions data.

Engage suppliers by using the Suppliers prioritized for PCF data collection work queue

  1. From the side navigation menu, click Work queues.
  2. Click the Prioritized suppliers pending engagement for PCF data work queue link.
    The Prioritized suppliers pending engagement for PCF data page appears. This work queue contains a list of suppliers that were marked as material but are not engaged yet.
    Note: This list of suppliers corresponds with the number of suppliers pending engagement on the Supplier Engagement dashboard.
  3. To select a supplier, click the organization ID.

    The supplier resolutions page is displayed. You can see the available options to engage this supplier to request information.

  4. Select an appropriate method and collect the product-level emissions data.
