- Disclosure status added as new property to SRM disclosures
- Disclosures now have a status property, so that you can set disclosures as either Draft or Active. Draft keeps the disclosure hidden from participants during setup, while Active makes the disclosure visible and enables notification options. Existing disclosures are grandfathered into this change and will behave as Active by default, though they won’t display the Active tag until explicitly set by a user. - VSME is now available in Sustainability Reporting Manager (SRM)
- The Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (VSME), developed by the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG), are now available in SRM. For more information, see Managed frameworks
- Create calculated fields based on a visual in PowerReports
- You can now use the visual calculations function in PowerReports to create calculated fields based on data that is available in a visual. Visual calculations make it easier to create calculations, which results in simpler DAX, easier maintenance, and better performance. For more information, see Creating customized calculations in PowerReports.
- IEA 2025 factors are available for 2026 emissions reporting attributed to electricity data
- Most indirect factors include both Total Upstream and Lifecycle T&D components. If the components are not included, the non-lifecycle T&D component is used. Review the factor Notes field for information about the indirect factor coverage for each region. For more information, see IEA factor set.
- European Electricity Residual Mix factors updated
- Factor values that are published by AIB have been updated in Envizi ESG Suite. For more information about this publication and residual mix factors, see AIB Residual Mix.
- Embedded PowerBI report in Sustainability Reporting Manager responses
- You can now view and interact with embedded PowerBI reports directly within the SRM response page. This enhancement allows you to access calculated environmental and social metrics from the Monthly Dataset, streamlining ESG disclosure workflows. The embedded report template includes seven tabs covering data set filters, data completeness, emissions, energy, waste, water, and social metrics. Users with edit permissions can customize visuals, and all changes persist across contributors, reviewers, and approvers for consistent reporting. - Update Scope 3 spend data AI Assist account style allocations in a new feedback mapping table
- Scope 3 spend data account styles that are allocated by AI Assist are now stored in a new feedback mapping table. In the table, you can review and update the reference text to account style mapping, and overwrite account styles that AI Assist allocates in the mapping. You can also create mappings based on your specific spend data categorization needs. Future AI Assist data file processing operations use the updated mappings to directly allocate account styles, in preference to allocations inferred by AI models. - Indirect emission factors applied to the USEPA factor set
- Indirect emission factors that are sourced from UK Defra, where available, have been applied to the USEPA factor set since 2018. For more information, see US Climate Leaders factor set.
- New help menus in Envizi ESG Suite and Sustainability Reporting Manager
- Envizi and SRM now include a help menu with easy access to helpful resources such as
documentation, videos, and interactive tours. In Envizi ESG Suite, click this
help icon
in
the header. For SRM, click this help icon
in the header. One of the tours in SRM walks you through the
redesigned user interface. - New Setup Location Ratings template in Building Ratings and Benchmarks
- Use the new Setup Location Ratings – Common Fields report template to more easily upload and update building rating data in bulk with built-in validation. The template reduces manual effort and improves Envizi ESG Suite reporting accuracy. For more information, see Uploading location ratings data in bulk.
- Prefill request dates for data capture issues
- When you capture account data through a data capture issue, you can configure the start and end period in the new record to be prefilled with the requested dates from the data capture issue. For more information, see Setting issue preferences.
- New columns in Monthly Data Summary report
- The Monthly Data Summary report now has columns for field type and maximum length definitions, and also for approved percent. For more information, see Monthly Data Summary report.
- New Location Regions US Zip Code Audit report
- A new Location Regions US Zip Code Audit report lists all locations with their assigned regions. For locations that have a US zip code region, the report also shows alternative eGRID subregions that share the zip code, based on information from the US EPA Power Profiler tool. If you need to reassign a location region to an alternative region with the same zip code but in a different eGRID subregion, use the report to audit the US location regions assignment. For users of the Envizi ESG Suite API AddOn, a corresponding _Envizi-LocationRegionsUSZipCodeAudit API report is also available to extract the data by API. - Viewing approved and unapproved data in PowerReports
- New metrics have been added to the monthly dataset to make it easier to differentiate between approved and unapproved data in PowerReports. For more information, see Reporting on approval status and approved data.
- SRM UI reskinned to align with IBM Carbon Design system
- The Sustainability Reporting Manager interface is refreshed to align with IBM Carbon Design system. This
update introduces a more cohesive and accessible user experience while maintaining familiar
workflows. For example, you can now click the name of a disclosure to open it and you can access
both edit and delete actions from the overflow menu
.

- Materiality toggle when adding questions to a disclosure
- In Sustainability Reporting Manager, a toggle is added to filter questions based on materiality when you add them to a disclosure. Questions are shown as material if they are mapped to topical questions that are scored above defined thresholds in the latest disclosure. Thresholds for impact and financial materiality are configurable under Organization Preferences. For more information, see Setting materiality thresholds.
- New PowerReport fields are available
- The following new fields are now available in PowerReports from the monthly dataset:
- Variance to Previous Month for cost, emissions, energy, native units, mass, volume, distance, area, data type groups, and ratios
- Variance to Baseline and Previous Year for market-based emissions
- Variance to Baseline for cost, emissions, energy, native units, mass, volume, distance, and area
- Variance to Targets for bottom-up targets, for cost emissions, energy, and native units

- New GHG Inventory report is available
- The new GHG Inventory report provides a view of all your GHG data in a format that's easy to review and extract. You can save a copy of the report and modify it to suit your specific formatting and data requirements. For more information, see GHG Inventory report.

- eGRID 2023 factors updated to revision 2
- eGRID 2023 factors have been updated to eGRID with 2023 data revision 2, following recent publication by the US EPA. eGRID 2023 factors are generally used for calendar year 2025 reporting, if you use the published dates method. For more information, see US eGRID electricity factors.
- Create and update programs and action plans in bulk
- You can now create and update programs and program action plans in bulk by using the new Setup Programs and Action Plans report. This enhancement streamlines the sustainability initiative setup, and complements the existing bulk upload report for program actions. For more information, see Capturing programs and program action plan data in bulk.
- SRM user role requirement removed
- The SRM User role that was previously needed to access the ESG Reporting Frameworks module is now removed. Access is now automatically granted to all users within organizations that purchased the module, leveraging the existing security model based on access levels and roles.
- New account data approvals feature
- In Envizi ESG Suite, you can now use account data approvals to improve the quality of your ESG data that is used for downstream reporting, analysis, and decision making. This new feature enables you to set an approval status for account records that can be used to lock individual records and differentiate between approved and unapproved data for reporting. - Smarter and safer account data loading in Envizi ESG Suite
- The Universal Account Data Loading Report templates are enhanced to make managing account data more intuitive, accurate, and flexible. Highlights include a new metadata extract report for account styles, the Account Style Field Extract report , exclusion of closed accounts from data extracts, improved validation to prevent duplicates and misalignment, and API access to all templates for seamless integration. These updates help ensure cleaner data, stronger integrity, and greater automation potential. For more information about the new extract report, see Account Style Field Extract. Fore more information about loading account data in bulk, see Adding account data in bulk.
- Initial release of SRM Framework Upload Tool
- A bulk import template for custom frameworks in Sustainability Reporting Manager is introduced to support streamlined entry of ESG framework questions at scale. The tool is available to system administrators only.
- Enhancements to framework topics and management
- Updates were made to improve the management of ESG frameworks within the user interface. Topics can now be edited and reordered, and unused topics are automatically removed from future recommendations when creating questions. Frameworks are also now displayed in alphabetical order across the library, disclosure view, and Add Questions dialog.
- Minor usability enhancements in Sustainability Reporting Manager
- Several interface improvements have been introduced, including a fix of the date picker for certain timezones, a resizable long text input area, and a persistent link to software documentation across all screens. Additional layout adjustments are made to improve scroll behavior and panel resizing on the response page.
- Manage custom currency exchange rates in a new admin page
- In the new Custom Currency Rates admin page, you can create, edit, and delete custom currency exchange rates. You can also run the Setup Custom Currency Rates report template to download and upload custom exchange rates. For more information, see Managing custom currency exchange rates.

- New Extract for GRESB Asset Summary report
- You can now use the Extract for GRESB Asset Summary report to review GRESB asset level data in bulk for one or multiple locations in a reporting group. The values in the report are the same as the values that are displayed in the GRESB Asset Summary (with API) page, with the exclusion of GRESB portal and API status-related fields. For users of the Envizi ESG Suite API Add-On module, a corresponding API report, _Envizi-ExtractForGRESBAssetSummary, is also available to extract the data by API. - Bulk delete programs or action plans in the Sustainability Program Tracking module
- You can now bulk delete programs or action plans in the Sustainability Program Tracking module. On either the Programs or Actions Plans page, select multiple records, right-click or open the ACTIONS menu, then click Delete.
- Enhanced Partner Access to Sustainability Reporting Manager (SRM)
- Partner access controls are extended to SRM. Partner users who have SRM now have access to manage ESG reporting activities across their clients' instances. This enhancement means that partner users do not need to create a separate local login for each client. SRM access in their partner instance is in effect across client instances. However, partners cannot be assigned disclosure roles, as these roles are reserved for users who belong to the client organization.
- New user permissions mapping table
- A comprehensive table is now available that maps user permissions across Envizi ESG Suite. You can filter and sort the table, which clearly outlines the actions
that users can perform based on their access to specific components and assigned roles, whether
standard, specialized, access, or work roles. The table also highlights any product dependencies
that are required to complete key tasks. The table empowers administrators and users to:
- Understand role-based access across components
- Identify the required role combinations for specific actions
- Navigate permissions more efficiently with the ability to filter by component or user type
- Transition ownership of a PowerReport to another user
- You can transfer ownership of any PowerReport that you own to another user who has the PowerReport Edit work role. For more information, see Transferring ownership of a PowerReport.
- New report template for setting custom currency exchange rates in bulk
- You can use a new Setup Custom Currency Rates report template to update and upload your organization’s preferred currency exchange rates in bulk. For more information, see Setting custom currency exchange rates in bulk.

- Capture sustainability program action data in bulk
- You can now create and modify sustainability program action data in bulk by using a spreadsheet-based report template. For more information, see Capturing program action data in bulk.
- Social Metrics field updates
- You can now filter Social Metrics fields in any table by using data from any field in the Groups or Regions tables. When data is reported for Social Metrics by group, any group or location based apportionment values are taken into account.
- ENERGY STAR enhancement
- You can now tag Envizi ESG Suite accruals data as estimation data in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager during API sync. For more information, see Tagging accrued data as estimation data in ESPM.
- Currency exchange rates update for Croatia
- Default currency exchange rates for Croatia Kuna have been updated to align with Croatia's Euro adoption starting from April 2023. For currency conversions, Envizi ESG Suite treats the total cost data that is captured in Croatia locations before or during March 2023 as Kuna, and treats the cost data that is captured during or after April 2023 as Euro.
- Updates to data model and API reporting
- Updates have been made to the following data models and API report:
- _Envizi-ExtractForAccounts (API) report
- Location table in the Monthly Dataset
- Social metrics table in Monthly Dataset
- Files have been added to the Data Export AddOn - Monthly Dataset
- Updates to several data type names
- EORA factors have been loaded for 2025
- Previous EORA factors for 2024 have been updated with an end period of December 2024. New factors for 2025 have been loaded with a start date of January 2025. For more information, see Eora66 MRIO factor set.
- File loading, error handling, and traceability enhancements
- Enhancements make it easier to automate the loading of files into Envizi ESG Suite by using data flow automation, and to track and troubleshoot loaded files:
- System pipelines are automatically created and connected to all enabled data services to process files that don't require transformation. For more information, see Uploading files by web upload, Setting up Data Flow Automation, and Data Flow Automation system pipelines.
- System administrators can view the records that are loaded for an account data file through data flow automation data services. For more information, see Uploading files by web upload.
- System administrators can view file details for account records that have been created from files that are loaded through data flow automation data services.. For more information, see Viewing file details.
- The Upload Files and File Delivery Status grids have been enhanced to show more file loading status information. For more information, see Uploading files by web upload and Monitoring data pipelines.
- The default size limit for loading data files and attachments through data flow automation is now increased to 50 MB. For more information, see Uploading files by web upload and Setting up Data Flow Automation.
- For accounts and records that are created by uploading bulk loading templates through the Upload Files page, the name of the user who created the upload is displayed as the creator in the audit history. Previously, the system user was displayed as the creator.
- For account records, attachments that are uploaded by using the bulk attachment upload process can be linked to multiple records.
- System administrators can download multiple files at once from the Upload Files and File Delivery Status grids. For more information, see Monitoring data pipelines.
- System administrators can now delete the account records that are loaded through data flow automation, which is consistent with the delete action that is available in the Files Processed - Accounts & Setup page. For more information, see Monitoring data pipelines.
- When you configure a data service, the organization name is inserted into the data service path before the unique ID, for easier verification.
- Account style mapping feature is now available in Sustainability Reporting Manager
- Account style mapping enables you to include aggregated social metrics normalized monthly data, which is required for disclosure responses, from Envizi ESG Suite accounts directly into Sustainability Reporting Manager. For more information, see Mapping account styles.
- Single sign-on self-serve feature and documentation updates
- Setting up single sign-on (SSO) in Envizi ESG Suite by using SAML 2.0 is now a self-serve feature. Documentation has been added that provides more information about configuring SSO. For more information, see Prerequisites for enabling single sign-on, Setting up single sign-on with the Okta IdP, and Testing single sign-on configuration.

- Security enhancement in Sustainability Reporting Manager
- Access level is integrated into the existing security predicate for SRM. Users that don't have the required access level cannot view disclosures, even if they are assigned. To view a disclosure, a user’s access level must be equal to or higher than a disclosure’s reporting boundary.
- Copy feature for disclosures in Sustainability Reporting Manager
- Administrators can duplicate existing disclosures using the Copy button. This feature copies all disclosure settings, added questions, responses, and user assignments, but excludes history and comments.
- ASRS S1 and ASRS S2 are now available in Sustainability Reporting Manager
- The Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards are now in the SRM managed framework library. ASRS S1 and ASRS S2 are aligned internationally, with minimal variations, to IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures.
- GRESB 2025 updates
- GRESB 2025 updates are released. The updates include the latest GRESB 2025 Real Estate framework related changes for renewable energy procurement, and performance improvements on bulk response capture. For more information, see What's new in GRESB.

- Update to when the response history tab in SRM opens
- The response history loads only when the History tab is clicked, rather than opening automatically when you open a response. This improvement enhances performance, especially for responses to longer framework questions.
- Materiality Framework released
- A new framework type, Materiality, is introduced. Related questions from a Materiality framework are automatically grouped in a separate box, distinct from Related Questions in other frameworks. The new Materiality topics framework in the Managed Library is created using this functionality.
- Double materiality and gap tags in the Related Response side panel
- Double materiality and gap tags are displayed when you view related responses. This enhancement provides better insight into a question’s materiality by showing the scores that are assigned to the related questions.
- New API report
- A new API report
_Envizi-MonthlyPerformanceConsumptionVsTargetis available if you have access to the API add-on and the Target setting and tracking module in Envizi ESG Suite. The API report mirrors the Monthly Performance Consumption Vs Target report. For more information, see Viewing target reports. - Monthly Data Summary - Social Metrics
- The Monthly Data Summary - Social Metrics report is available to review monthly normalized social metric and to link monthly normalized values to account records. - Subscribe to update notifications
- Subscribe to receive notifications about updates to IBM Envizi ESG Suite and the product documentation. For more information, see Subscribing to updates.
- Latest US eGRID electricity emission factors are available
- The latest US eGRID electricity emission factors that were published in January 2025 are now available in the platform. Starting from the year 2024, AR5 GWP values are used instead of AR4. For more information about managed eGRID factors in IBM Envizi ESG Suite, see US eGRID electricity factors.

- International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) S1 and S2 are now available in Sustainability Reporting Manager
- IFRS S1 General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-related Financial Information and IFRS S2 Climate-related Disclosures are the first two sets of sustainability disclosure standards that are issued by the IFRS foundation. These standards aim to inform users of financial reports of an entity’s exposure to and management of sustainability-related risks and opportunities over the short, medium, and long term. - PowerReports tutorials
- Information was added about how you can apply PowerReports features in Envizi ESG Suite to create your own purpose-built reports. For more information, see Customization tutorials.
- Double materiality tags in Sustainability Reporting Manager
- Double materiality tags are available. For more information, see Adding materiality and gap tags.
- New auditor access role in Sustainability Reporting Manager
- The Auditor role is now available as an access role in the base platform. Auditors with the User work role in Sustainability Reporting Manager can view all disclosures and responses without being assigned and have edit capabilities that are restricted to leaving comments. Auditors cannot be assigned to any disclosure roles.
- View-only user access update in Sustainability Reporting Manager
- View-only users can no longer be assigned to any disclosure roles.
- Handling deleted users in Sustainability Reporting Manager
- Sustainability Reporting Manager now retains all historical activity of deleted Envizi™ ESG Suite logins, including existing assignments and created content such as frameworks, questions, disclosures, and responses. Deleted users are tagged as deleted for easier identification, enabling Disclosure Owners and System Administrators to change any orphaned assignments.
- Expanded Copy Response feature
- This feature now allows form questions, such as ESRS, to use content from similar questions. Also, Copy from Last Year and Previous Responses are updated to return only responses that were completed during the current or earlier reporting period. The search continues to return responses regardless of status.
- Updated Reporting Period settings
- Disclosure reporting periods are now configured by using month-end and reporting period length. This change prevents any mid-month settings and aligns with reporting preference settings in the base platform.
- On demand refresh of PowerReports
- You can refresh PowerReport datasets on demand on the PowerReports page in IBM Envizi ESG Suite.
- Advanced user access control for Envizi ESG Suite Business Partners
- Envizi ESG Suite Business Partners can restrict client organization access for internal users through the Login Organizations page. For more information, see Business Partner only: Restricting organization access.
- Norma de Caracter General N°461 (NCG N°461) framework is now available in Sustainability Reporting Manager
- The NCG N°461 is a regulation that is issued by the Comisión para el Mercado Financiero in Chile and applies to companies, publicly traded companies, and other entities. For more information, see NCG N°461 summary and attribution.

- A Flat File Format template is provided for adding data in bulk for various account style fields across multiple account styles
- This template is primarily for system-to-system account data transfer. Each record is presented across multiple rows in the file. You can manually upload the file by clicking . Alternatively, if you have set up data flow automation, you can use the flat file format for file uploads.
- IEA 2024 factors are available for 2025 emissions reporting attributed to electricity data
- For more information, see IEA Factors.
- ENERGY STAR module enhancement enables configuration of meters used in ESPM metrics calculations
- You can now move meters to either the
Meters - Used to Compute Metricslist or theAdditional Meters - Not Used in Metricslist in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager during an API data sync. To move meters to either list, configure a combination of account and meter tags, and location and organization configuration settings in Envizi ESG Suite. For more information, see Configuring meters used in ESPM metrics calculations. - GRESB module enhancement
- Performance improvements to the GRESB group level grid pages provide a smoother experience during the bulk capture of GRESB responses. If you use a copy and paste operation to bulk upload data in tabular format directly into Envizi ESG Suite, you must confirm the bulk upload in a confirmation dialog before it is completed.

- The Audit History report includes historical user names that were deleted from the systems.

- Naming conventions changes

- The Data Export AddOn has been released. It provides access to the monthly dataset source files. For more information, refer to Data Export.
- Programs module enhancements
- The following enhancements were made to the Programs module:
- Notes and Attachments related to programs, action plans, actions are now available in reports Notes Extract and Attachments Summary respectively. For more information, refer to Adding notes and attachments to programs and actions.
- New organization settings are available to hide Estimated CO2e columns on the Programs and Action Plans grids when auto CO2e calculation feature is turned on. For more information, refer to Configuring program settings.
- Auto calculated estimated CO2e savings are now included in the Power® BI monthly dataset and any PowerReports built on the monthly dataset. For more information, refer to Monthly dataset - advanced fields.

- US Climate Leaders factors updates

- Location grid fields added
- New Opened Onand Closed On date fields have been added for locations in the Location grid.
- User role display updates
- All roles that are assigned to users are included in the Role column of the Contacts & Logins page. For more information, refer to Setting up users.

- Record attachment root URL character limit

- IEA 2023 factors updates
- IEA 2023 factors are available and its Indirect CO2e methodology change. The IEA 2023 emission factors are applicable to electricity data with its consumption period starting from Jan-2024 onwards only, when the factors ‘Published Dates’ selection logic is used, which applies to most organizations. - US eGRID factors updates
