Managing user logins
A system administrator can reset passwords, disable users, and reactivate users in IBM® Envizi ESG Suite.
Resetting passwords
You can request that a user reset their password.
- From the main menu, click .
- Select a user from the grid and click Login.
- From the pop-up menu, click Reset Login(s) Password.
An email is sent to the user with a link. If a user clicks the link, their password is reset. Alternatively, a user can also choose to reset their password by clicking Forgot password on the login page.

Disabling user access
You can disable a user's access.
- From the main menu, click .
- Select a user from the grid and from the pop-up menu, click Disable Login.
Deleting users
You can delete a user, which is irreversible. Consider disabling a user's access instead.
- From the main menu, click .
- Select a user from the grid and from the pop-up menu, click Delete Contact(s).
When you delete a user from Envizi ESG Suite, the following items that are
associated with the user are also deleted:
- Attachment files that are uploaded to the user’s own personal page, including profile images
- Saved personal dashboard views
- The user’s personal groups
- System jobs that have been requested by the deleted user, for example, scheduled reports
- Alerts that are set up for the user
- Group manager assignments, if the user has access at group level
- Any other functionality that is associated with the user, such as system administrator privilege and organization restrictions
Reactivating users
If a user is disabled or blocked from logging in, you can reactivate a user.
- From the main menu, click .
- Select a user from the grid and from the pop-up menu, click Re-Activate Login.
The login of a user is blocked when the user exceeds the number of allowed login attempts with an incorrect password.
Monitoring login activity
You can monitor login activity.
- From the main menu, click .
- View details about which users logged in and session length information.
Verifying changes to contacts
After you create or update contacts, run the Extract for Contacts report to verify that the updates are consistent with the configuration of other users in the organization.
