Geographical maps
Maps are a great way to help visualize data across different geographical regions in PowerReports in IBM® Envizi ESG Suite.
In PowerReports, you can add a map to your report, add latitude and longitude coordinates to the map and add dots to the map to represent cost, emissions, energy, or native units.
The data set includes examples that you can copy and use as the basis for a new report. Click the
map graphic to see which visualization is in use as well as which fields have been pulled in. Use
the following steps to create your own map:
- Click the map icon, then pull in latitude, longitude, and a value that each of the sized dots on the map will represent. For example, you might choose total cost, emissions, energy, or native units.
- Use the map visualization to scroll in and out so that you can focus on particular areas as well as using the data points to filter other items on your page.
- Add additional metrics to your graph such as state based on the region table. State appears as a legend on the visualization, and the color code helps you to customize your visualization.
