Visualizing targets in dashboards
You can compare actual data against target or budget data in any of the standard location, group, or organization level performance dashboards. You can also compare actual data against your intensity targets in the Rate Analysis dashboard.
About this task
Access the dashboards from the IBM® ESG Suite Monitor menu.
Compare with Target is displayed as an option in the Compare with list in the standard location, group, or organization level performance dashboards only if an active bottom-up target exists.
Target is displayed as an option in the Compare With list in the Rate Analysis dashboard only if an active intensity target exists.
Procedure
Visualizing bottom-up targets
- In a standard performance dashboard, select Compare with Target
and select a data type. You can view the data as emissions, energy, mass, volume, cost, or, if you are looking at a single data type, in the native unit. The data type that you choose determines which active target or budget is shown.
- Click the Activity by Period gadget's down arrow icon to view and download the table of data that underlies the activity by period chart.
- Use the Activity by Period gadget to compare and view the data for the selected period
that is displayed in the
Current
column against the data for the active bottom-up target or budget values that are displayed in theComparison
column.
Visualizing intensity targets
- In the Rate Analysis dashboard, select Compare with Target and
select a ratio, rate, or intensity data type. The dashboard compares your actual ratio, rate or intensity data to any active targets for the rate or ratio that are specified in the dashboard.
