Managing the access tokens of others
A system administrator with the token admin role can view and manage the tokens of others.
Assigning the token admin role
A system administrator can assign the API Token Admin Role to another user. However, that user
must be a system administrator too. Only system administrators can view, update, or revoke the
bearer token of another user.
- From the main menu, click to open the Contacts & Logins grid.
- Find the contact in the grid, click Actions and select Login.
- Select the contact in the Contact Login grid. Click Actions and select Add Admin Role for API Tokens.
Modifying the tokens of other users
If you have the API Token Admin Role, you can create, generate, or remove tokens for another user.
- From the main menu, click to open the Contact login grid.
- Find a contact in the grid. Click Actions and select API Access Tokens to open the Access Tokens grid.
- Click Actions and select from the menu.
- View the list of bearer tokens that are associated with the user login that you selected.
- Create, generate, update, or revoke JWT access tokens for the user.
Note: When you create a JWT token for another user, make sure that the user has logged in to the
IBM® ESG Suite user interface at least once. The user must be activated by
the platform before the user can use the API token.
